For a M-fare ticket

Uh, details?

Sure :)
SFO-FRA-SFO, bought a M-fare ticket on ua.com ... but when I try to request an upgrade, get the not eligible message. |
I had this happen to me this past week. I had already requested a PP upgrade on an itinerary last week. For grins, I wanted to know what United was charging for a ToD upgrade. But when I selected this option in my reservation from the app, I was told:
"This reservation is not eligible to be upgraded" I presume that this was because I had already submitted an upgrade request ... which may or may not be relevant to the OP. ;) |
They just want to save you the agony of dying on the waitlist. :p

There are other non-published fares that have restrictions. Or a simple IT glitch, a call to UA will probably provide more information. |

Called 1K desk, they weren't sure what was happening either ... so they decided to cancel and rebook and now I'm on the upgrade waitlist ^ |
I had this happen to me on a IAH>LHR flight booked into T on Saturday when I saw PZ space was open. I closed the browser and tried again and it worked fine and offered the MUA upgrade. Perhaps just an IT issue?
|
Maybe the PNR was not fully ticketed when you tried to upgrade and getting the error message.
|
Had the same message pop up for me on ERJ-145 and CRJ-200 planes. But flying one of those SFO-FRA would be quite the feat...

You are flying UA, not LH, correct?

Reissuing the ticket fixed it. |
