He ordered pasta and was served mushroom ravioli instead, but then also had the kale lasagna. No menus of course. Looks like nuts are bagged and the cookie has made a return. No coffee or tea. Wine, beer, water, soda, juice all in individual bottles. No cups. No hot towels. Snack basket also made an appearance, but no sandwiches or muffins pre-arrival
Spooky flight...you can read the full review on my blog, if you care to.
Did they also cut the dessert cart service (sundae, cheese plate, snickerdoodles, etc,)?

And the appetizer as well - assuming it was a full dinner service.

To prompt those who are the stalwart FTs who continue to fly UA in the time of COVID-19 and to take and post pictures of those awesome meals offered in domestic F and p.t.s., my red eye snack...

2020-03-02 UA1701 LAX-BWI

closer ups:

Calzone anyone?

David

p.s. I've gotten out of the habit of red eyes but, unfortunately, schedule drove me to hop on this flight.

My understanding is snack box in first class and bring your own food in economy (no BOB).

In browsing through the meals posted during this COVID-19 time, some of the dishes look good, if not better than what was dished out before COVID-19. Either I miss flying and cabin food terribly or I am just imagining they look better.

No, your not wrong. That first picture actually looks quite good. I suspect united will be the next SIA in the food department once Covid is over. 😉

UA5221 AUS-ORD 1:39PM 28 May 2020 in F.

Choice of pretzels, Oreos or stroopwafel. After ordering and after snacks were passed out, each pax received a bag containing water, pretzels, a stroopwafel and an alcohol pad.

As the pad is probably infused with isopropyl alcohol, that would be a very bad idea
