763:
As GMoneyCO posted N671UA and N674UA are headed to HKG. Presume maint on both, but N674UA is in non-Polaris configuration and I would have thought it would remain stored. Why would UA send it through maint in the old configuration? Maybe it will get Polaris or the pre-Covid planned High J Polaris. N674UA is one of UA "newest" 763s.

Fleet use has stayed pretty high for the past few weeks. About 67% of the total fleet is scheduled (excluding retired 752PW and Max units), about 30% stored and about 5% parked or in maint for under 14 days. Of course, some units aren't flying all day, but I count just 16 of 329 737 units short term parked today.
Every 787s has been moving almost daily except for 2 maint units in XMN and 77W units have been really busy.
WBs seem to run more frequently on weekdays while NB have less activity on Tu/We, reflecting cargo and passenger demand.

Is CommutAir expected to add the remaining 13 ExpressJet aircraft located on the Fleet Site, and complete their growth? I see they will be moving into Denver in 2021, and imagine they will need more frames or make an adjustment to their routes out of Newark and Dulles, as they keep expanding in Houston.

I would much rather see 145s added than the dreaded CR2. One day I am hoping to get on the CRJ-550!

There are many additional 145XRs that are parked, so I suspect we will see some of those reactivated. If you check out the page for UA Express Fleet Removals you'll see the additional frames: https://sites.google.com/site/united...fleet-removals

They are slowly growing to about 70 frames for now. Beyond that has not yet been decided.

320:
N1913U - Delivered to UA and currently stored at GYR as of 17-Dec. Flights from OSR were completed under the old registration information (EC-LQN). Unsure whether this aircraft will be stored and inducted as its a 2004 build or whether it will be parted out and scrapped similar to the other ex-Vueling 320s.

737-MAX9:
N37522 - Repositioned to BFI from RNT in preparation for delivery to UA

763:
N671UA - Confirmed entry into HKG for maintenance

Perhaps like buying a former rental car...you know it was abused.

As discussion of LAX as an UA Hub is off-topic, please let's have that discussion in one of the LAX threads
Such as What's to become of LAX for United post-COVID19?

Note there was also pre-COVID discussion The future of the LAX hub?

And A350 discussion moved to What happened to the a350 order?

Let return here to the discussion of UA's fleet plans

MAX 9:
N37516 - Delivered on 30-Dec/2707
N47517 - Delivered on 30-Dec/2708
N27520 - Delivered on 29-Dec/2709. The initial delivery flight was canceled and then rescheduled using a different flight number earlier in the day.

Looks like N37518, N37522, N37530 are next in line for delivery since all three are now at BFI

In Service: 0
Delivered: 22 (includes deliveries from 2018 and early 2019 before the grounding occurred)
Delivered but waiting for "upgrades": 6, 2 of the 6 are in process as of 12/31. The upgrades will address the MCAS issues and other items related to the two crashes. Most of the fleet that was delivered before the two crashes has already received the upgrades, we are just down to the final few now.
