N883UA, ex CZ B-6206 showing as 2705/21Jan ANC-GYR, on way to US. Looks like this unit will get stored/induction int the US, unlike last several CZ units. Any possibility this 2005 unit will be used for parts?

Looks like I’ll be flying that bird tomorrow. Do we know if the 757-200 ViaSat KA retrofit is “uncorked” like the MAX birds, or is it still the slower ViaSat tier?

Sorry, I'm having trouble figuring out the exact meaning of this.

Is it the case that the 8F to 12F conversion for the 319 will be completed, but the 12F to 16F conversion for the 320 will not happen?

Yes, that's what fezzington is saying.

"Pax want more F" did indeed seem too good to be true

Indeed, about too good to be true.

To what was the '20F' referring? Is that an aircraft configuration shorthand?

Dollars to donuts Kirby decided it didn’t fit his spreadsheet math.

I'm half wondering if they did a premature analysis on whether F sales for the A319 had increased — and found that they'd not — unaware of how they've been routinely blocking the inventory until a couple of days before the flight.

That’d be pretty stupid...I sure hope that’s not the case...

Something was always fishy about that configuration. It looked as though UA was going to manage to add a closet, AND a row of F, while keeping overall seat count the same.

I wonder if some sort of an enabling mod (e.g., space-saving aft lav/galley reconfiguration) fell through, precluding the reconfiguration? OTOH, UA might have decided to hold off on another major cabin project in the face of the continuing 737MAX grounding.

The A319 project is simpler: trading a row of Y for a row of F (and repitching E+ to 35" from 34"... a win all around, IMV). The 319s have been in and out in a matter of days.

From another thread confirmation that all 763s will receive getting Polaris.
N661/662/663UA will get 30J Polaris
N652/653/657/658/673/674UA to get 46J/PP Polaris
I updated the Polaris page on the fleet Website and moved stuff around to make more sense.
This may delay 764 Polaris mod schedule.

752:
N41140 appears to be in GYR since 1/5/20 - I thought it was maybe in error due departure shown out of SFO earlier than the inbound. Surprised to see a 2000 unit grounded when 1994 units still fly on. Maybe in GYR for maint or Short term storage? Anyone have more info? WFU not shown on Airline Fleet News page.

772:
N77019 entered HKG 2747/20Jan, expect Polaris/PP, ERS estimate 3/15/20 - N77006 should exit soon.

I assume so, yes. 20F would be for the 16F configuration of the 320. The pmUA craft like to use that schema (the 737s were always 37 and then a letter).

Having the 319 and 320 fleets both with 12F makes it easier to swap types (pilots are type-rated for both) -- only Y needs to be juggled.

Very true.

My take on this, that even when I was 1K, u/g on 319 simply did NOT happen, while with a 320 there was a chance.

Not that I'm not flying much and relying on my MM status, so the chances are much lower for u/g. We'll see if 12F 320 will stick for my April (first UA leg of the year ) flight, and as lowly Gold the odds are low even with 12F

On a side note, last year I gave up my perk of United Club access to / from US-CDN and freelanced on Delta/WestJet, and was pleasantly surprised. I know Alaska well from when they were CO partner, and my flights with them have not disappointed. Sadly the few UA flights, while a little better than even a couple of years ago, still kind of meh.

United's 2020 Fleet Plan is out:
319/320 - 168 today, growing to 189 at EOY +21
787 current 48, growing to 63 at EOY +15
757 is showing 74, there are only 73 units after N546UA retire and N26123 write-off -1 is result
737 current 329, growing to 338 by EOY, +9
777 & 767 no change
It's maybe not clear when UA stats counting the aircraft, somewhere between delivery and first revenue flight.

772:
N210UA sked to exit AMA paint 2740/21Jan with EvoBlu livery
