Mileage plus satisfaction survey

I got a survey by email today. Search your inboxes incase you missed it. The subject of the email was “Share your thoughts on our MileagePlus program”

Let’s sock it to them. While venting won’t likely change anything it makes me feel better!

Does anyone even read the results?
What on earth could they possibly do with the survey results?

1) Survey result: increase food quality
2) United's subsequent action: decrease food quality

I just completed the survey and this one is different, it has a smell of fear to it. The survey should be titled "Did we overstep the mark with recent changes?"

Interesting. Care to share some of the questions to illustrate that "fear"?

Questions relating to changes to the program making it better or worse; sliding cale from "better" to "much worse". Will changes make one more likely or less likely to use United? How does the program compare to other FF programs? What CC are you using now and why? What do you see as the benefits now of the MP program.

The survey was very extensive.

Some questions ask if you compare value of points vs monetary value. How do you feel about elite benefits, how do you feel with changes in 2019....the options range from extremely satisfied to extremely dissatisfied with commentary boxes. Then asks about competing programs.

Overall a fair survey and opportunity to vent. Timing of this mass release can't be coincidental.

My issue - and I sense the same with everyone else these days...
RPU - worthless
GPU - close to worthless
Comp upgrades - rare if ever
Same day upgrades sales - overriding above to further minimize the opportunity for a RPU/GPU/comp upgrade
opportunities for upgrades t>48 - always wait listed (see above)
other benefits?
- becoming less and less valuable as a perk, but more essentials to just survive traveling
(3/4 of the plane in boarding group 1?)

same day flight changes - only if the fares are the same
(and since many of us have zero control over what we pay for our tickets.....)

I am sure there is more.......

I don't smell fear in this, I smell a complete detachment from reality.

If you read between the lines, somebody thinks that Chase/Amex are eating their lunch because you can't redeem MP miles for hotel stays and non-UA travel. There are multiple questions that hint at that. I didn't take the bait. Instead, I made it very clear that the reason I don't want UA miles is that I have 0 confidence they won't continue to devaluate faster than any other currency.

Must be a targeted survey. Then again, I haven’t received an email from UA in over 2 years.

I got this survey. Gonna let the know what I think and what my plans are. Ask, and I will tell. If they ignore my feedback, I hope their data is correct, because they do so at their own peril.

I didn’t get a survey. I’m wondering if this was prompted by 1) A drop in elite bookings in the past two weeks, and 2) AA and DL not copying UA?
