Product highlights:
- Meal choice ordering in-app, 5-10 options for domestic F
- New interiors on ERJs
- SpaceBins and their 3rd party equivalents coming to 80% of the narrowbody fleet by 2023
- Nose-to-tail power to all aircraft currently without it, save aircraft to be retired

I could go on, United is just far behind the curve in passenger comfort on its aircraft, as well as in soft product, and now its mileage program is the worst of the big three.

On the United Twitter feed is a phone screen shot of dining options for a sample flight. For each meal, it shows a photo, description and link to nutritional info.

Just as long as it is NOT the E145s that they keep scheduling and which either get delayed or cancelled when flying this route.
Oh, wait, this is in/out of EWR - e175s and cr550s will still be delayed and or cancelled guaranteed

If they are planning shuttle service, I would hope it’s given higher priority. Doesn’t help that both airports go sideways quickly in a delay scenario.

—Long before retirement, they pulled the 747s out of ORD, which were superior to the 777s with IPTE. (They did eventually come back for a short bit).
—787s at one time were far superior to the IPTE 777s, yet they never saw ORD.
—Now that the Polaris 777s are nearing completion, they’re pulling them out of ORD, so we’re ‘stuck’ with the now-Inferior 787s.
Is it a yield issue? Certainly isn’t a competition issue with AA’s strong (albeit less) ORD presence, not to mention the one-stop competition (non-O/D secondary cities to/from ORD) from both AA and DL (DTW and MSP), primarily to Asia.

Is ORD the red headed step child of the hubs? Historically (since the merger), ORD has generally received the worst of the configurations in premium cabins...

I think it’s the 145s - someone reported the new interior in one a couple of weeks ago or so. Maybe 170s could get that too?. The E in ERJ is for Embraer - the 550s are part of the CRJ family - they are former CR7s re-certified with the 10F/20E+/20Y.

That's right -- I mostly fly ERJ145s or CRJ200s on my first/last leg, so I think of them as more related than they actually are. But much prefer the Embraers, so I'm happy to hear there's some movement on updating their interiors.

I’m not happy with the enhancements but I do have other choices. None much better.

I would guess at this point it's safe to assume that spells the end of CLE-DCA? Believe it's currently 5x and EWR-DCA seems to be 8x most of the time. Unless they magically got slots from somewhere else...

For the DCA-EWR route it will be E175 + CRJ550. And also not really a "Shuttle" service."
Dulles Polaris lounge didn't come up.
Links above to stories I wrote about the various topics discussed; you've been warned.
