Hi, current 1K (have been for at least 10 years), but I already know I'll be lucky to make just Gold with United with the changes for 2020. Are there any recommendations to collect in a different mileage program with a different airline to get top status? or should I just stick to the crappy United program and take what I can get?
Another point to consider, if you fly PE or J on *A partners you can just credit the flights to UA and you'd probably still do well. This depends on your travel pattern / budget. I'm guessing you're Canada based. AC is a preferred partner so the divisor is 5. For example you can credit AC stocks booked into P to UA for miles flown * 2 / 5 as your PQP earned.

Also, any idea how they're gonna calculate lifetime miles with the new program?

I had initially considered switching programs but I’ll stay with UA.
Despite the problems, I like UA a lot and I already had a good PQP start (016 tickets on W fare so I could upgrade). Two business discount tickets with AC and I should meet the new 1K requirement. |
Is Asiana an easier program to get status? Will they status match a DL DM?
