New website Premier Benefits Page

https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...its-chart.html
The website has a new Premier benefits page. They have multiple errors on it.
The Priority screening row header is duplicated and the Boarding Group row is the row incorrectly headed. The Boarding Groups are wrong unless United is changing them again with Silver in BG3, Gold BG2 and Platinum BG1.
I tried the page feedback but when I tried to submit it I got an invalid parameter statement back.

BBSHOPSINGER Sep 9, 19 9:57 am

The "security screening" row is confusing, and I can't tell if that's meant to convey boarding group or something else. It would be kind of strange to have Silver be below credit card holders in boarding priority.

Agreed - unless they're doing something similar to DL/AA and creating more boarding groups. AA separates each elite tier into their own boarding group - 1 is F passengers, 2 executive platinum, 3 platinum pro, 4 platinum, 5 gold.

However, UA just changed the boarding process recently (1K pre-board, moving Gold to group 1) - so I'm not sure why they would make another change so soon. Since they got rid of the 5 lanes, though, they could make this change more easily now if they wanted.

The Clear membership fee for 1Ks is wrong-- should be Free

Show Gold has having a phone booking fee -- wrong :td:

Have added a number of items that have been long missing ^

Did this change? I know I had a phone fee on an award I had to book in 2017.

Golds have close-in award booking fee.

txaggiemiles Sep 9, 19 2:30 pm

"Better award availability in select premium cabins" for Platinum (and 1K). Does anyone know what this is? Is there a specific fare bucket that would show this?

entropy Sep 9, 19 3:07 pm

They're showing increased fees for plats for redeposits too.. $25 >61 days out where before it was free.

iapetus Sep 9, 19 3:34 pm

I'm also seeing the incorrect figure (or at least what I hope is incorrect) for 1K CLEAR membership. I noticed this a few days ago when I was looking for the rules on earning GPUs ... which I was not able to find. Was the removal of such information another "enhancement"? I thought I was just looking in the wrong place (and maybe I was) until I saw this thread.

myperks Sep 9, 19 3:38 pm

https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...s/premier.html

also has the the waived fee for 1K clear membership. The rest are all the same.

What is the TPC Network benefit?

chemengin Sep 9, 19 3:43 pm

This bothers me to no end: comma after "ticket" for gold, but no comma for silver:

Commas are only free for GOLD and up. At SILVER level, United charges $5 for each comma.

This kind of thing too...for RPU/GPU, there's no asterisk anywhere in the notes or legend. Who edits this stuff?!

I would love it if this was the new boarding group! Group 1 is just way too big with FC, Platinums and Golds as it is currently. Would love it even more with FC and Polaris only but I'll take this step in the right direction.

Yes, this is IN class if I'm not mistaken.

This link does:

Silver Fox Sep 9, 19 5:33 pm

Does GS not count as a "Premier" then?

qfrodo Sep 9, 19 7:50 pm

They must be letting FlyerTalk do the editing. Just checked the link and Gold is now Group 1 for boarding, the $5 dollsr comma has been added, and probably some other corrections mentioned.

Wow. 20 Billion RPUs for Plat and 200 Billion+ for 1K!

And 600 Billion GPUs for 1Ks. Count me in, but canít imagine how many GS get.

garykung Sep 9, 19 11:09 pm

One more - Silver and Gold get only 1 E+ companion, not 8.

Argumentative, GS is not really a "status".

But I doubt any GS will be confused about their benefits vs. 1K.

Iím pretty sure it has always been 1 economy plus companion for gold and silver since the last change, but I can be mistaken.

UA has never publicly published a set of GS benefits. But at a minimum, they get all 1K benefits plus a number of unpublished benefits.

The site is correct, it states 1 for Silver / Gold E+
but 8 for preferred seating.

I smell a new MileagePlus Updates coming later this September...:p

1 thing I feel strange is some "preferred seating" is actually E+...

At least this is what I have observed days ago...

This is UA's definition

These standard-legroom seats will typically be closer to the front of the aircraft behind Unitedģ Premium Plus and Economy Plusģ.
What aircraft do you think is mislabeled?

If you're going to try and make fun of United's errors, you should at least be accurate in your corrections... That's only 1024 RPUs for Plat and 2048 for 1K.

Actually only about 363 million GPUs, not even enough for a million upgrades a day.
