United direct flights from US to India?
 

I don't see direct US to India routes on United's route map. I also found an article stating flights to India have been cancelled but will resume again soon. What routes does United fly direct from US to India? Preferably ORD to India. Thanks!

EWR-BOM and EWR-DEL and SFO-DEL (late October). The EWR-India flights will resume in the next few days.

There is no simple answer to that question. Fares may vary by flight and by day and by routing. You need to start plugging in dates and routings to find the best price and then match that to your schedule. In addition, the USA is a very large place. If you are headed to SFO, spending a bit more on tickets to SFO is a good idea above flying to EWR (a six-hour flight onwards to SFO).

If you are unfamiliar with how to use search engines, this is where it is worth paying the fee for a highly-recommended local travel agent whom you trust.

Looks like Air India (AI) has a daily ORD-DEL nonstop, but I don't immediately see any other nonstop carriers or routing out of ORD.

In other words, all other options seem to require a connection. And depending on where in India, may be more than one.

Air India has direct flights from JFK, SFO and IAD to Delhi. I believe they are all three times a week.
