Unhappy Best Time to get through to UA Reservations?

Is there a best hour to call United? I wanted to change an award reservation (an LH segment) - and at 8:30 PM PDT, got the message that I would be on hold for over 90 minutes.

In June, I tried calling about another reservation at 6:00 PM EDT, and was put on hold first for 30 minutes, and then a second time (transferred to another agent "who could deal with my concern") for another 15 minutes. I no longer have any status, so I am not aware of any special number I could call.

For the past few days, UA phone lines have been hit hard to issues at multiple hubs.

Best to wait a bit if you can

BTW, changing a single partner segment is difficult, essentially it is like booking a brand new segment and availability may be required for all segments.
Award booking or change questions / issues / routing / excursionist problems / help

There isn't. All callers to all numbers are sorted by status.

One trick you could try using is to not call the USA phone agents but rather ones in Australia, New Zealand, London, India ... any English speaking area that has a local phone number listed that you can call. Often times you might find a helpful agent working through the middle of their night with next to no hold times involved. You should probably call using a VoIP system (Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.) to avoid the country-to-country long distance fees.

This site https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...ervations.html has all the international phone number locations made available. For example, the Australia number can be found https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...australia.html.

Good luck!

(And yes, I realize the irony in me writing about these number after being the OP for the thread 1K phone line wait times are crazy! that WineCountryUA mentioned above!)
