So many diversions today for UA flights that were headed to EWR and IAD. I feel like in the future, if things stay the way they are, we will need weather waivers for all of July and August for flights to the Northeast.

Had a client delayed 1h on SNA-EWR...got boarded, taxiied to the runway, then they got called back and flight was canned due to weather. The SNA-EWR flight that took off early morning got sent to CLT. Fun day at EWR again I'm sure...

Due to WEATHER / THUNDERSTORMS, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving Newark International Airport, Newark, NJ (EWR). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 4 hours and 10 minutes. To see if you may be affected, select your departure airport and check "Delays by Destination".

I had the wonderful pleasure of going thru both EWR and ORD yesterday (08/06/19) and waited for our slot to fly into EWR as well as out and then only caught a 3 hour delayed flight out of ORD because the inbound plane couldn't get out of LGA either.

Watched a couple diversions from Europe to EWR into BDL late yesterday...Venice to EWR and Frankfurt to EWR. Venice flight was on the ground at BDL over 3 hours then bugged out to Chicago just about the time the storms rolled in here. FRA flight was on the ground just long enough to fuel up and then get out. Continuations of both flights from ORD to EWR for 11 PM were both cancelled. I wonder if the Venice flight was allowed to unload and pax were bussed to EWR? It landed at 15:30 so immigration was still at BDL (albeit a very small staff). Anybody on either of those flights?

Would have been difficult as luggage would have also need to be offload and cleared.
