Nice. Been looking for these to load ex-PVG.

Looks like PVG-SFO is switching from 787-9 to 777 and LAX is switching from 787-9 to 787-8.

I noted in another thread, but IAD-FRA is also selling PP staring 27OCT19.
IAD-NRT actually has PP starting on 26OCT19, per UA.com.

LAX-PVG goes 789 to 781 7DEC19 to 31JAN20, and then one of the SFO-PVG goes from 772 to 781 on 1FEB20.

Interesting UA is adding 77W on EWR-PVG and then LAX/SFO-PVG to 781. I've always thought PVG has too much capacity with EWR/ORD/LAX-PVG 1x and SFO-PVG 2x. And then the added request for 2nd EWR-PVG to replace AA's canceled ORD China routes. But maybe internal data shows that the market can support it.

NRT-HNL is another one because of its aircraft rotation with IAD-NRT.

Lately NRT-HNL has been using the ORD-NRT inbound.

Is there a list/wiki of all the routes UA will be serving with P+ service now and in the (near) future? (I only look at SFO-LHR and wonder why there is service on one of the two flights....)

Can confirm the IAD- NRT route. My Dec 28 NRT-IAD plane just swapped from the old 772 with GF seats to the new one with Polaris and PP seats!

Premium Plus (premium economy), which also means Polaris J seats.

Well, I will be flying IAD-NRT before this goes into effect. Hopefully it does mean I'm more likely to get a switch now!

This one only lists B772 and B773 routes. There are also B787J and B767 routes with PP/Polaris J seats.

I'm flying IAD-NRT before the winter schedule as well, but I'm in Y so definitely do not want the switch. I'd prefer guaranteed 3-3-3 over maybe being able to move into a PP seat but also maybe being stuck in 3-4-3.

How does it make sense for them to put the 781 on PVG routes. I thought those birds were for shorter flights to Europe....on China flights most of the profit is in C while Y fares are so low they can't be making money....so why do they put a Y heavy plane on PVG?

Actually overall US-PVG J capacity increases by DEC19.

Currently: EWR/ORD-PVG on 772 (50J) and SFOx2/LAX-PVG on 789 (48J), total capacity is 244J.
DEC19: EWR-PVG 77W (60J), ORD/SFOx2-PVG 772 (50J), LAX-PVG 781 (44J), total capacity is 254J.
FEB20: EWR-PVG 77W (60J), ORD/SFO-PVG 772 (50J), SFO-PVG #2 781 (44J), LAX-PVG 789 (48J), total capacity is 252J.

The 78J isn't a ULH performer like the 789, but West Coast to most of North/East Asia is easily within its bailiwick. It's good to cover 90-95% of the 777-200ER's missions at about 10-15% lower costs per block hour.

Edited to note that the 787-10 actually replaces a 772, not 787-9, on the SFO-PVG flight. Cargo is a consideration too as the 787-10 has about 25% more below-deck volume than the 772.
