LHR-ORD 767-300 Business Class Question

I've a booking in August from LHR-ORD and return on the 763 30J version. I believe that 14 of these frames have been upgraded to the 1-1-1 full Polaris business class, whilst the remaining 16 are to stay in the previous 2-1-2 layout. My understanding was that all flights have the 2-1-2 seat map until a few days before the flight, when the actual aircraft is assigned to the flight, however I've noticed that my booking for 19th August has already changed to a 1-1-1 seat map. Is this a global change with all flights going this way, or are the Polaris refurbished aircraft going to be consolidated on a number of routes instead of mixed across the full 767-300 network?

I see several of the ORD-LHR frequencies with the 76L seatmap (46J/22W/99Y) so I assume that's what you mean - this is a subfleet assignment to the route although as always take it with a grain of salt and swaps can happen (they will block 16J to guard against the swap). I wouldn't trust the type assignment until they are selling PE tickets.

EWR-LHR seems to have the initial High J 763 focus. Would not be surprized by if ORD-LHR was next.

This is the seat plan I'm seeing now, hadn't realised that it had gone from 30J to 46J, so it's scheduled for the small fleet of High J aircraft.

My September ORD-LHR flight switched to high J from 30J 2-1-2 Saturday night. Kept my middle seat in case it swaps back. Looks like only about half the 763s that are being retrofitted have been completed.

Just to clarify, 14 frames have the 76A configuration with 30J Polaris/no PE and that program is finished for now. 5 and soon to be 7 763s are in the 76L configuration with 46J Polaris/PE and that mod program is ongoing with 17 ships planned. 7 76C 30J non-Polaris (2-1-2) 763s were slated for retirement but that appears to be on hold for now, and the tracker on the Polaris microsite shows 38 763s scheduled for conversion. So, there's conflicting information out there as to those 7 frames. One of the airplanes allegedly slated for retirement, N658UA, is in HKG right now for maintenance, and possibly Polaris mod, so that should provide some insight as to the company's latest plans.

All told, by the end of the week, there should be 20-21 763s with 'true' Polaris seating in service, with at least three in mod. The remaining 763s are in the 2-1-2 configuration

Does anyone know what the recently acquired Hawaiian 763s are getting (besides new paint)?

Will the 76a be segmented towards less premium routes or will they mix in everywhere. If they sell PP though they need to guarantee it

76L is getting PE so it has to be a dedicated subfleet. I don't know about the 30J Polaris versus non-Polaris frames.

I fly the ORD-LHR route once a month. My August 23rd LHR to ORD Has the 46 High J seat map. I am hoping the plane stays since it would be nice to have a true premium economy seat (Currently sitting in Row 21)

Please use Everything You Want to Know About Where to Sit on 763 High J (46/22/43/56) Polaris+PP to discuss seat selection
