MileagePlus number not on Lufthansa boarding pass (but embedded in barcode)
i inputed it when I bought the ticket through Lufthansa on their web site. Fly tonight. Where would it appear on my printed boarding pass? Can they add it at the airport? |

In my experience, it will not have the number, but will just say UA*G (assuming you have Gold status) or UA*S (for Silver status).

Sometimes things break somewhere and do not carry over. I had an award ticket once, purchased through United but all legs operated by Lufthansa. I realized that the MileagePlus number got lost somewhere in the process when they tried to charge me for checked-in luggage. Added the number back right at the counter, and all was well.

It will either say UA*G and nothing else, UA*G and UA/XXXXXXX or UA*G UA/XXX X 123. Replace UA*G with UA*S if silver. Don't know what GM's get as I haven't been one in a long time.

I have had the same experience. No Number, but got credit.

Try decoding the barcode on the BP, IIRC when I traveled last month the BP didn't show my MP number printed but it was encoded in the barcode. Credit appeared within 1 business day of arrival--maybe even sooner.

even if it doesn't credit. LH retro-credit can be done online and is easy.

Great advice. I checked the bar codes and the united numbers are on there! |
