United Airlines operates a shuttle bus between Terminals A and C from 5:00am to 10:00pm. In addition, United also operates a shuttle bus connecting Terminal B to Terminals A and C from 10:00am to 10:00pm. The shuttle bus is available at gate A28, B67, and C70 as illustrated in the image above. This service is free and you will not have to go through TSA security again. Please note this shuttle is operated at the sole responsibility of United Airlines and is subject to modification at their discretion.

Hmm, I don`t think so...As I can see gate for AA is usually A34, and I need to make it to A28...I believe that it might be security checkpoint somewhere...

Reading this thread, seems at least 2+ is needed for Int-Int connection.

I am looking at booking ZRH-EWR-EZE with on 90min connection.

Arrival on LX TB, 8:20pm / Dept UA TC 9:50pm. Both F cabin, non US citizen.

At the time of the day, is it likely customer would be quick? Plus being in F, any chance of airlines assisting me through lines?

No.

In this case just go out from security, hop on the AirTrain and head over to C and reclear security there.

Not a ton of time to dally but 95 minutes should be enough.

That will be tight, especially as a non-US citizen. Working in your favor is that immigration is generally relatively quiet when the late LX flight arrives. At terminal C if things aren't looking good ask if the agent checking you in can escort you through the Global Services security line. It'll save you getting up to the ID check at least.

Doesn't look like these flights are available (award booking), probably a good thing as 90 was probably too risky. Thanks

Question UA schedule change & EWR transit

Is 1 hour 15 minutes enough for an international to international transit in Newark (EWR)?

We are due to arrive on a UA flight in EWR from EZE (Buenos Aires) on Monday 15 October 2012 at approximately 0615, before departing to YUL (Montreal, Canada) the same morning.

We have just been informed that UA has changed our flight from EWR to YUL to 0730. Our original flight was due to depart at 0815, giving us a comfortable 2 hour transit.

Since we are non US citizens and we are arriving & departing from different terminals (i.e. C to A), I am concerned that the new transit time is too short.

The next flight from EWR to YUL is, unfortunately, 1029 - therefore potentially over four hours transit should we go for this option.

What do you think - keep the 0730 flight or go for the 1029 option?

EWR [terminal switch A-C]

How long does it take from Terminal A to Terminal C?

Are they connected?

Do you have to go through security again in Terminal C?

Thanks

There's an air-side bus. The trip itself is maybe 5 minutes, although the total time will depend on how long you need to wait for the bus to arrive.

There are signs within Terminal A directing you to the bus - it's hard to miss.

Just note that the shuttle bus operates from two of the three "piers" in Terminal A, basically A10-A28. If you come into A30-A39 you have to exit security and take the AirTrain. But all UAX flights in Terminal A come into 10-28.

Thanks for all the help.

Flying TLV-EWR-BDL 3Hours between landing and takeoff.

and later CLT-EWR-TLV

It looks good to go with no second security check. A little less than 2 hours between flights. I walk very slowly and this is the one I was worried about.

Must reclear security

Arriving at EWR from TLV (or other international destinations) one must reclear security regardless of arrival terminal.

Currently all EWR-BDL flights are RJ145s that generally leave from terminal A (though one departed today from C).
The schedule going forward also features Q200 planes which would leave from terminal C if they're still in use.

Since TLV-EWR-BDL is a 3 hr connection no problem I hope. I was more worried about CLT-EWR-TLV.

Thanks for all the info and input.

EWR Terminal C is a large terminal, with a lot of walking to get around - especially to the gates where the TLV flights leave (~C138).

However there are numerous "golf carts" doing the rounds. If you're at all concerned about the walking (either from a time perspective or otherwise) then I'd suggest just telling the UA staff there that you'll need to be taken from the bus to your gate via a golf cart.

33 Minute UA Connection in EWR

My wife and I will be flying back on a redeye from LAX in October and it lands at EWR at 7:30 AM. Our EWR-PHL flight takes off at 8:03 AM. I know 33 minutes will be cutting it close, especially if the flight arrives late (thankfully, both flights should be out of Terminal C).

In the event that our flight is missed, should I expect anything from UA? We booked this because it earned us more airmiles and PHL was considerably cheaper than EWR.

Yep, two seats on the next available flight.

Don't sweat something that you have no control over.

Enjoy you trip and you still have every flight that day to connect to should something go wrong.
