UA ticket, Code Share on LH in PE Seats?
 

Looking at a vacation trip in the fall going LAS to VCE and then BUD back to LAS. Best deal, without using MUA looks like UA on the outbound (LAS to EWR to VCE) and the return using LH going BUD to FRA to DEN to LAS with the FRA to DEN leg in PE.....it leaves me with some questions
1. As *G and UA Gold I know we can get lounge access in LAS and EWR but on the return, can we get lounge access in FRA and/or DEN? The layover could be long on this one.

2. Seats, I know I can pick seats on the UA flights and get E+ at booking but can I get seats on LH? I Have read a lot in the past year about that option going away. Last year I was considering a LH Biz flight and wrote them an asked about advance seat assignments and got garbage for an answer so I stuck with UA for the trip.

As *G, you'll get lounge access or all legs (domestic too) on all Star carriers. That means lounge access in FRA and DEN on your return.

Once you book your tickets through UA it'll have the. LH PNR confirmation code. You can then log into the LH website and assign yourself PE seats that LH PNR.

Thanks. I knew I would need the LH record locator code but was not sure if LH allows us to get pre-assigned seats.

While they do allow seat assignments with the LH code from their website I have been in some situations where there was not a seat left to assign and the flight was still selling Premium Economy. LH seems to oversell the Premium Economy cabin a lot and I had a few op ups as 1k (I usually don't do GPUs westbound).
