Looking at the ORD & now NYC waiver, does it appear only to me that they were issued on very short notice?
Thus, giving travelers very little time to make alternate plans.

Delays at Newark are going to get worse later this afternoon when they switch to single runway operations due to increasing winds.

yes - i, for example, was basically told stuff tomorrow morning was sold out too so it didn't even make sense to try to change and "sorry, good luck today!"
