I'm flying late evening on 4/11. Snow is supposed to be done by early Thursday morning, so I'm not too worried. If anything, weather cancellations will move all of the previous day's flights to my flight, and I can VDB for some decent cash.

As always, it's not the snow that bothers DEN so much; it's the winds. Media is playing this as Bomb Cyclone 2.0. Blizzard warnings from noon Wednesday through noon Thursday.

It's 81 this afternoon in Denver.

Agreed on the winds, especially the further east you get.

I REALLY want to be skeptical of this forecast as well, but when I did that last month I ended up stranded at home for 8 hours without power or even cell phone service.

But I'm also typing this on my porch with a cocktail in shorts and flip flops, so my inner conflict continues.

LH DEN-FRA cancelled for Apr 10. (UA8879). My buddy was on it and trying to rebook via ORD, although I'm not sure how wise that is...

I am skeptical that we will receive 6-10" of snow as predicted by NOAA.

Winds out at DIA are always the issue, last month's blizzard we had winds pushing 70+ mph gusts. I assume they are playing off that, and as we all know the nicer it is before the storm the worse it usually is here.

For someone who grew up in Buffalo, I'm so glad I now live in the south. It's April! How do you people stand it? Legal marijuana must help a lot ; )

It's nice to be able to go outside in the summer without frying or boiling. Besides, winters in Denver are mild compared to Buffalo...I know, I grew up near Syracuse.

You couldn't pay me enough to move to the hellhole that is the DFW Metroplex.

Now DenverBrian is going to get on my case.

I'm going to suggest that you get a double-shift repairing the fences from the last buffalo stampede.

LOL. I have no love for Texas (as soon as the S/O retires we are outta here!).... but my snow shoveling days are over!

WHAT summers in Denver? It's snow, snow, snow! And more snow! Drifts higher than the wild bison that wander around! Neither the stagecoach nor the Pony Express can get through!

2 PM update: Snow falling, but no wind yet. Just beginning to stick on rooftops and grass.
