Wow sounds like an easy flight to redeem your SWU or whatever UA calls them (GPU?). AA is ripping out J seats. I could only wish AA would have a plane like this.

Might be one of the reasons they're gearing up NYC-FRA, which might see an up-lift in business, if/when the LON market softens.

From Yahoo News (who knew they still existed?) https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/unit...204954309.html
Of course, all this reconfiguration comes at a cost. The economy section—a modest 56 seats—is situated right at the rear of the aircraft in a tight 2-3-2 configuration and the humdrum seats have a 34-inch pitch (that means half the legroom of business class).

Yes, all the EWR-LHR frequencies are loaded as 76L and selling PE (as of some time next month IIRC). And yes, as mentioned, this is very old news.

Pretty sure an equipment swap put the reconfigured 767 on ORD to MCO Sunday. The FAs were not happy because they had to serve meals to the whole "Polaris" cabin in a 2.5 hour flight. They literally ran through the aisles the whole flight, needless to say, I didn't get a single refill on my coke zero...
We had swapped from a 757, and the reconfigured 767 has so few seats, much of the economy cabin was upgraded out of necessity. Toward the end of boarding they announced anyone who "had someone in their seat", could sit anywhere including up front.

UA's not paying to reconfigure these planes in order to allow people more space for upgrades. I think you're likely correct at the margins, but mostly UA is doing this because they see enough J demand to cover most or all of the capacity increase.
Oh, and spin88, London was a world financial center long before the EU/ECM. I suspect that will continue to be the case for many years to come, no matter what happens in October.

But it's not like UA can't deploy the plane to the next high-yielding "leading business center" in Europe, wherever that may be. We're already seeing upcoming EWR-FRA and ORD-ZRH on high J 763.

Can you get out of 20A in Premium Plus when 20B is fully recline with legrest extended (without them having to get up?)?
Is the bulkhead quite a distance or are some acrobatics required?

Article on Bloomberg this morning says all 3 ORD-LHR flights will have high-J 763 flying as of November 14th.

I can confirm that I've been unceremoniously evicted from row 20 and put back to row 31. You might want to check your seat assignments if you've got a ORD-LHR flight scheduled after mid-November. Until yesterday, they were also offering cash upgrades to Polaris for $1200; today they want $7600.

Purchased E+ in June before any were High J. Was then reassigned 22F, K and L which were PP when that was changed to a high J flight in August.
Late last night after the other two flight options flights were loaded with new configuration we were changed back to E+ rows 30 D, E, F. Same thing for return 12/7.
