3 trips, $275 minimum for 16,000 miles. This version of 'Mile Play' seems to be the worst one by far. My wife's offer was 4 trips, $350 minimum for 11,000 miles...

I think they have given up on me. 1 trip, $250, 10k miles.
I actually have two trips booked in that time frame. One of them is well over $250 (like, $1400 or so). But... I book my trips early. I'm not about to book a new trip that I don't want just for 10k miles. Or cancel and rebook for a fee.
This promo is just stupid, at least for me.

I didn't get anything. I wonder if it's because I have already booked enough travel to make 1K again?

Similar here... offered 20k miles for 1 premium cabin trip, but F tix for this period were booked months ago.
Seems like UA's IT actually works in these cases to prevent previously booked travel from counting... any evidence to the contrary?

3 premium class trips of greater than $2,000 for 240,000 miles... it will be 50/50... i did get the last one of 2 premium trips for 150,000 miles.... this could be racking up some serious points this year...

If I cancel a booking, keep the credit and re-book with a change fee, will I get a new confirmation number? and will this make my booking eligible? will I also get a new ticket number? I am guessing the T&C mention a trip to be a unique confirmation number

The T&C read: The final fare amount for the Trip will be used to determine satisfaction of offer requirements, including itinerary changes that result in an increase or decrease to the fare and paid upgrades that result in an increase to the fare.
So does this mean that if I buy a reservation in economy for $575 and then in My Reservations, use the “Buy up to First” for $100, then I will have passed the $600 threshold needed to qualify?

me: 1 activity for 2,500 miles
mrs. iapetus: 2 activities for 6,600 miles
I'll hit mine ... by happenstance; this certainly isn't an offer that would motivate me to make a trip specifically to qualify. mrs. iapetus won't hit hers (GM 'til I hit 1 MM in April or May), but I would have (again, it just happened this way).
Like others, I'm fascinated by the variability of the offers being made.

Do you regularly buy premium fares? I've purchased one domestic and one international in the last 2 1/2 years and always get targeted for the small promotions. I'd do a mileage run or two in premium to hit this promotion... 240,000 extra miles on top of PQM/PQD would incent me.
