Sounds more like a bad travel delay through EWR

The article is, um, not convincing. Sort of like a “bad trip.”

The only perfect day in Newark is the day you leave. That applies to Newark California, too.

Haven't read the article yet, but surely there's something redeeming to see and do in Newark, right? I mean, once you get the heck out of the airport...

Well, the info might come in handy if all the bridges and tunnels into Manhattan are shut down, and boats/helicopters are not available, and if it’s too cold to swim across the Hudson.

When my parents lived in New Jersey, two main rules of thumb were to avoid Newark and Elizabeth at all costs.

My take on it was, "Well, I guess Three Perfect Days has jumped the shark."

I look forward to upcoming Three Perfect Days in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Devils Lake, North Dakota, and Stockton, California.

I saw that last weekend (3/2 and 3/3) and had to read it. They may have been scraping the barrel but it was rather interesting.

It's really easy to change trains at Slough. Never been out of the station though...

I really hope they feature this classy hotel, which I am somewhat ashamed to admit I've stayed at. Hotel Riviera

It's a great place, rooms by the hour, 3 hour, and per night! Located at the corner of Clinton and JFK, IIRC.

Haven’t read the article yet, but if you do find yourself in Newark for the evening .... some of the finest Portuguese food anywhere (at least outside Portugal) is in the Ironbound section of Newark. Some great rodizio too - try Fernandes Steakhouse for an amazing meal.

If you want a delicious summertime treat, take an Uber to DiCosmo’s Italian Ice Elizabeth. On a hot summer day, there’s no better snack. Owned and run by the same family for over 100 years now. The very definition of making lemonade (or, lemon ice) from lemons.

Tasty stuff. Seriously. Plenty of goodness to be found.

3 perfect days? Sounds like a typical EWR flight delay.
