EWR-PEK RT: The good news: GPU cleared at booking!
The oddity: the return flight (in April 2019) is PEK-ORD and ORD-EWR all supposedly with the 77Y ex-CO plane??? Haven't seen that before. Do they have a surplus of these now?

I recall the same - the plan was to move the pmCO 777s to ORD to concentrate them there until the full set of 772 (ERs) is converted. Avoids too many different possibilities at each international hub.

Yes, the sUA 772s which are getting PE first are getting put on dedicated PE routes. I also believe some of the EWR sCO 772 flying is going 781.

Kind of makes sense since they are not selling PE on any route from and to ORD. I checked up to the end of summer and it's not happening. But since we were informed of that fact (ORD not getting PE) some time ago, it's a "c'est la vie" moment. I move to a location that has to connect through ORD and this is what I get.

I believe are all UA PEK bound are 777-200ER flight. These are conversted with the polaris configuration, but the set up is 2+2+2 in J and Y is 3+4+3. I have a ticket booked leaving from EWR and its a 777-200ER

EWR-PEK remains on 77Y (same chances as above) and IAD-PEK remains 788 (none retrofitted). Only flight with guaranteed new Polaris seats is SFO-PEK, going from 77W to 772 on 30MAR19.
