United's giving folks at least 2 days advanced notice of this waiver - should help folks to identify either candidate flights to switch to or work their plans to reschedule travel for these airports and cities.

Good luck!

If on a single PNR, yes
If separate tickets, no guarantees, but worth asking.

Thanks, is a single PNR but just noticed it is UA* operated by AC, hopefully the waiver still applies.

Is the flight on the 12th AC? Waivers are determined by the flight operator.

This. If AC does not declare a weather waver, then you're toast.

Years ago when Hurricane Sandy hit Northeast, there was a group of French exchange students scheduled to fly out of JFK to CDG. AF did not allow for weather waver when all US domestic airlines had travel wavers for NY area airports. so the group had to charter a bus to get them from Richmond to New York. It would have been a lot easier if they could change to IAD-CDG.

Third time is the charm

The last three trips for me were weather waiver optional. I知 thinking this one might be the charm (sarc). ORD-ERI has been somewhat of a curse for me in January
