Definitely enough for 3x daily, and could probably support non-daily service elsewhere. IAD could well remain a 767 route, also. The standard 77G operates ORD-HNL/OGG as it is so that wouldn't be a difficult swap if required. It would be a necessity for EWR-HNL.

Check the Google spreadsheet. You will see that for pmUA 772 PW, you have a total of 33 ships in the fleet, including 23 with Polaris.

So, the chances are good you will have Polaris. However, as long as the conversion is not complete, the old map will be displayed. Which is fair I guess.

This is a Monty Hall problem. While 23/33 have Polaris, a certain number are assigned to routes selling Premium Plus. So, the available pool of Polaris planes that could be swapped in to non-PremPlus routes is much smaller.

763:
N685UA, former N590HA did a test hop at HKG 8/5. Based on test hops take n by N684UA and N686UA, would expect HKG exit within about 10 days. This would place all 3 ex-HA units into service in 76L High J/PE configuration.

I was reading a trip report and noticed the 789s had upgraded the IFE to the same as 78J and refitted 772s. The upgrades I'm referring to are the ability to select favourite TV shows/moves, set do not disturb, etc.

Anyone know the upgrade schedule for the fleet? Seem that 788, 789, sUA 752, refitted 772, 773, 764 have the same/similar IFE setups and could be eligible to be upgraded.

Trip report pictures of IFE (author is a FTer, @MatthewLAX):

Does this do anything without the Polaris seat?

In P+ on the 78J you can set a do not disturb mode and it will put a message on the screen that shows that you prefer not to be woken for meals, I'm sure it works the same in economy.

Has anyone else noticed that F pitch on the CRJ-550 will be 42"? That has to be the largest non-flat F cabin pitch of the domestic carriers (setting aside the ex-VX A320s which are being retrofit)?

I flew an upgraded IFE 789 in July - it is actually less usable on selecting movies due to the way they tiled the layout.. And the huge miss is flight duration - every screen should show this but most do not any longer.

But the UI looks neat. I guess that is something.

WestJet currently has the largest fleet of 73Gs so they are a good guess. I believe the entire order is coming from one airline and right now only WestJet, China Eastern, China Southern, and GOL (in addition to UA) have 19+ 73Gs in their fleet, so you have a 1 in 4 chance of being right.
