I know the Max Take Off Weight is limited because of scope, wondering if the range is limited as well? (75,000 on the CR7 vs. 65,000 on the CR550).

Also, on a side note: I've been thinking about the 550/700 vs the 200: I've been asked a million times to move back for weight and balance. With the 550 having lighter MTOW (on paper) does this create the potential for every flight starting with a w/b issue?

Seems to me like the 1000nm range is contract/scope issue. I could be wrong, but looks like ~1,400nm is the max range for the CRJ-700--and these are indeed just reconfigured CRJ-700s. While I realize there might be more to it than that, like the -ER vs. -LR and whatnot, that "1000nm" limit seems like too round of a number to be something other than a contract issue. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...It just seems the same airframe with 20 less seats would actually have an actual longer range than the plane it was constructed from, not vice-versa.

any reason why there is only one sUA 777 in the shop for refurbishment when there are usually two or even three at a time? there are only nine sUA 777 frames remaining for conversion and I have a couple of trips scheduled between NRT and HNL in the fall that I would like to see my chances of flying on a refurbished 777 improve.

I understand that UA has/will acquire former Copa HP-1528CMP, which would be aircraft 0755. It spent time with Eznis Airways (JU-9921) and Regent Airways (S2-AHC), and there is speculation it will be a part out. Does anyone know more? N13755 has been reserved for a while with no aircraft assigned; that number seems to fall in line with the other former Copa 73Gs.
