United has opened booking for the 763 High J on UA110 EWR-LHR, 5/15. The P+ cabin is being sold as economy.

Looks to be a one off at this stage, 5/16 reverts to the 2-class diamond.

That's an interesting presentation of the center seats .... I can't imagine there really are that many open spaces, are there? And given that it's "single aisle", REALLY interesting to me that they call them D/F. Why not just all D?

I expect the seats can only be entered from one side or the other. D/F tells you whether you'll need to cross to the far aisle to reach your seat. That's how the existing Polaris 763s are configured.

They (D/F) have been like that on the 2 class Polaris 763's since 2017. Don't know why but it's consistent with what they already have.

If you look at an image of that cabin -- I haven't flown the reconfigured 763 yet -- you can see what I'm talking about. The entrances for the center column seats alternate from one side to the other. So, walking down one aisle, you can sit in 1D, 3D, 5D, etc.; in the other aisle, you can sit in 2F, 4F, 6F. Using different letters makes it easier to figure out which aisle you should use.

I have a few UA 763 flights booked to MXP and LHR well in advance and I'm currently in E+. I think they both have solid chances of being converted to high J and I can hopefully grab a P+ during the period where they are marked as E+.

The explanation below about the entry makes total sense. Just shows how often I fly international birds...

Back to my CRJ ... (grindin' out that 1K, 500 miles at a time ...)

N37514 sked to exit SEA new delivery induction 2732/6Mar to IAH

753:
N57855 sked to exit MIA 2737/5Mar with slimlines and new F seats, In MIA since 12/18/19
This completes UA's slimline program for domestic narrowbodied aircraft

77W:
N2333U sked to exit SFO 58/5Mar with PE installed
N2645U entred SFO 2264/3Mar, probable PE

78X:
Note that UA shown to get 11 78X aircraft this year. 5 delivered while LN 814,822, 828 and rework 548 to be delivered by April (total 9).

On Google 787 Spreadsheet, it appears there's an error as LN 948, 950 & 964 all shown as 78X. That would equal 12, so expect one should be a 789.

I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but for N2644U on the UA889 on 3/5, the seat map shows no PE again despite showing PE on the previous flight for UA888 on 3/4.

EDIT: Looking at the 2 flights following the UA889 on 3/5, UA837 on 3/6 and UA78 on 3/7, it does seem to have been a glitch as those later flights are once again showing PE.

I believe that spreadsheet is correct, but LN964 is the first 2020 Delivery, so 8 total 78Xs delivered to UA in 2019 (plus 3 from 2018). 2020 will have both 789 and 78X deliveries.

There's a third (wheelchair accessible) lav in the center section aft of the J cabin, though this may also be accessible to PE pax. There are also three lavs aft of Y, which gives this airplane (overall) the best pax:lav ratio in the fleet.

Flight status for 2777 on 3/10 is now showing the high-J seatmap.
