319/320 reconfigs?

As I type this from #1 on the upgrade list in E+ on an a319, the United fleet site shows "Starting Fall 19 Reconfig to 12/36/78," and the a320 "Starting in '20 Reconfig to 16/39/95." After some googling, I can't find a source, but I personally consider that a good move, especially since F is often consistently booked full on the 319s. I'd like to hear opinions from others, and a source if possible.

Press release, February 6. I recall getting an email from UA with it too.

More United First seats on Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft

United is also adding more United First® seats to its fleet of Airbus aircraft, offering customers greater opportunities to upgrade and enjoy a premium flying experience. Beginning this fall, the carrier will add four United First seats on its fleet of Airbus A319s, increasing the total count from eight to 12. The reconfigured aircraft will also feature 36 Economy Plus and 78 Economy seats.Beginning early next year, United will add four United First seats on its fleet of nearly 100 Airbus A320 aircraft, increasing the total count from 12 to 16. The reconfigured aircraft will also feature 39 Economy Plus seats and 95 Economy seats. United expects to complete the reconfiguration of the Airbus A320 and A319s by the middle of next year.

Last flight date for N505UA is incorrect on the following page and it should be updated to read 2011-2019. Thank for maintaining it!

I believe relatively standard maintenance. I am not aware of any modification programs going on for either fleet right now.

I'm sure UA runs with spare aircraft at some hubs. So, these aircraft are not in for mod, but rather being spares or regular maintenance unless there's a unspecified repair that must be made.

FYI:

On the UA Fleet Site, I post all new unit info and most wide and narrow bodied layovers, except at a UA hub unless it appears to be a mod operation. (Examples: SFO: only post 737NG/Airbus which look like a B-Check and 77Ws that look like PE mods - MCO all layovers are posted as they could become extended - IAH just show GUM conversions - Don't track LAX/EWR/IAD/HNL/ORD except for Induction)
https://sites.google.com/site/united...rvice-aircraft

To reduce the number and length of posts on this thread, compared to above, I don't post narrowbodies not involved in mod or paint. I limit widebodies posts to contract maintenance locations, mod and paint.

Sometimes I miss something and sincerely thank those who post on this thread to correct or add more information. This includes layovers worthy of notice like 764 N69059 in SFO for the past 20 days - I've posted N69059 on the Fleet Site.
