16 days at AMA. About 100% chance of a complete repaint with Globe.

N2243U sked to exit SFO 869/5Feb with PE, seat maps not shown yet. Don't see inbound mod unit.

772: Based on average days, I estimate
N228UA entered 12/16/18, estm out 2/7/19, 53 days
N798UA entered 1.1/19, estm out 2/23/19, 53 days
N229UA entered 2/3/19, estm out 3/27/19, 53 days

Does anyone have an idea of what's taking the last 3 753 slimline mods so long? Maybe the holidays, but N57852 and 57855 have been in MIA since 12/19/19 and N74856 has been in SAT since 12/26.

Is this to say that introduction into the fleet is to be delayed? Would think they'd want to get it flying ASAP to keep going on mods...

On one hand, there is enough slack in the winter schedule that UA can store this aircraft and continue with the retrofits, but it would also make sense to run these aircraft on EWR-LHR through the low season and rotate the 764s into domestic markets (premium transcon?) to take advantage of lower operating costs and lower Y TATL demand.

There are 17 units to get high J and the 3 ex HA units are part of this group.
N666UA is in HKG for the first unit and STC. It probably was delayed by the government shutdown and may be ready to exit soon.
The first HA unit is also in HKG and some maint work was being done prior to N666UA arrived.
My guess is since Y seats will be removed from the 2 to class to High J conversion, UA would utilized these seats for the Y section of the HA units. If so, it would take two 2 class units into HKG to provide seats for the first HA unit.
These High J units should take less time than the ITPE to Polaris configuration as there may be less maint work - I don't think Y changes much (lavs/closets). All of these aircraft were reconfigured with new Y seats in and around 2012.
It would make sense to enter these High J units into the fleet quickly as it would be a real problem subbing or floating units with a vastly different seating configuration. N660UA should exit Polaris mod within a couple weeks and that will allow 2 or 3 High J mod lines in HKG. Unless maint work is required, if I were deciding I'd rush the reconfiguration and bring the aircraft back next off season for additional work.

There's a few interesting changes on United's own official Polaris tracker in its most recent update:

1) It shows 13/38 767-300ER's with 2 in progress. This seems to imply that the 7 1991-1993 frames originally slated for retirement are now also going to be retrofitted since without them there would only be 31 frames including the currently parked exHA ones. The question now would be whether those 7 frames will be configured into 30J as per all the other already retrofitted 1991-1993 frames or if they will join the 1998-2001 frames slated for the 46J configuration.
2) It shows 15/51 777-200ER's with 4 in progress. The "out of 51" part is interesting because there are a total of 55 777-200ER's in UA's fleet, 33 pmUA and 22 pmCO. Does this mean that 4 frames are scheduled for imminent retirement?

I thought I saw it somewhere, but can't seem to find it anymore, but how many 3 class 772 are left? I've got a flight in May and its showing the awful 8 across in Polaris. So I'm wondering how many are actually still in the fleet.

It looks like 15 are still flying.
Here's an excellent reference tool. Click on the "72" tab. Look for the 77J/Q "IPTE FLAT" birds.

By May, they'll have made more progress with the retrofits; your flight may well change to a Polaris seat by then
