Unable to change flights on website
 

Here is my itinerary:
Jan 2 - YYZ to SFO
Jan 3 - SFO to NRT
Feb 12 - NRT to SFO to YYZ

I am trying to change the first 2 legs for different dates. I click the "change flights" and here are the legs that appears:
Jan 2 - YYZ to SFO
Jan 3 - SFO to SFO
Feb 12 - SFO to YYZ

What's happening?

The online change flights tool rarely works well. You'll need to call.

I don't even bother trying anymore -- it's never worked for me.

What flight number[s] do they offer for this segment?

Yeah, online change rarely works for me.
If the app change flight links you to the website, I just don't bother.

My only usually consistent way to change a flight is to do it through the app check-in process. Re-check in for the flight, and on the app screen just before final check-in, see if it shows the change flight option. That method usually pulls up available flights in the app and that works. If the change flight option isn't there, then usually there aren't any available options.

But yes, calling in is the most reliable way usually.

@:-) there's the solution for the guy who wanted to do the MR -- book SFO-SFO, SDC it into SFO-XXX-SFO, sorted. :p

I tried to change SFO-YVR-YKA to make a longer connection in YVR or go the day earlier and nothing worked online. It would take me to the point to pay the change fee for the new flights then get the error page. Just call with the flight numbers/info you need.

The SFO SFO is actually
SFO to NRT on Jan 3 merged with the NRT to SFO on Feb 12.

on a side note, I never had any problems to change a flight on the APP, on the website, before departure or as a SDC.

New to United Friendly Skies Ultra-Super-Duper-Long-Haul flight:
SFO-SFO. Total flying time 958 hours 10 minutes.
