BOS-LAX has 752 lie flat aircraft, will it get Premuim Transcon Service?
 
It's been reported on A.net that LAX-BOS is up to 3x daily through end of schedule. Is it true? Permanent or seasonal ?

If confirmed it would finally place them back in a meaningful competitive position against the others. I hope it sticks.

It is true, but likely just for the summer rush.

A mix of 738s and 739s scheduled - would be nice to see premium transcontinental 757s expanded to this route.

I see it, for the next summer. Schedule has been loaded on united.com

Whoa! I’m looking at May18 LAX-BOS, and there are four(!) nonstops!!

i don't have stats to back my assertion up, but i would question whether there's enough slack in the domestic lie-flat fleet to do this. BOS-LAX was all p.s. two or three summers ago. many of us hoped it would stick around, but that never materialized (although BOS-SFO obviously did).

good to see that the route wasn't cut this winter, which is an improvement on past years.

I'll either go via SFO or just take Mint. SFO-BOS upfront is so cheap, I wish for the pricing ex LA we at least had lie-flats.

But the funny thing is in the first week of May the evening 6 PM nonstop is non-operable. I had a change that has me flying through Chicago which I'm unhappy about. Has anyone else seen the same ?

You can request a different routing, such as through SFO.

Yeah, it is all over the place. On a given day, it can be once a day, or 4 times a day as I posted. I too was “victimized” by one of the flights axed, and I simply requested a different nonstop.

I was just looking at booking some summer flights... I see 4x daily on this route? When will it come p.s.?

Huh. Don't see any days that are 4x this summer - which dates have 4x?

And all of the A/C are 739s when I searched.
