Ah, that's why - I was looking in June and later.

Not sure that I'd be terribly thrilled - the 4th flight is a second red eye into BOS and a non-lie flat 753 with the other 3 A/C still 738/9s.

I'll make the trek upto SFO with a higher daytime frequency and on 752s and 772s.

And 1x on a weekend red eye is not terribly helpful. Or fun.

I must say, one of the most unexpected benefits of this is opening up more TPAC connections at LAX with reasonable connection times ^. As a data point, I was able to score OZ (ICN-LAX morning arrival) + UA (LAX-BOS afternoon nonstop) award in I + IN, which previously left us with a long layover (unless connecting more on UA).

It looks like BOS<>LAX becomes 3x/day on the sCO 757-200 (16J version) effective October 29. Verified today by the BOS station manager.

All flights will be on sCO 752s? That’s pretty good if so ^

Shut the front door. UA is back in the running on this route. Giggity.

That being said, DL is pricing from $699 ow, I wonder if UA will be reasonable.

A quick check shows ~$1200-$1400 r/t including the red-eye eastbound.

Will it become an official Cross Country Comfort route, e.g. RPU for upgrades?

Where the heck are they getting the aircraft? I wonder if this means we are going to see more widebodies on ps?

Having kept the 763 fleet while adding 789s and 77Ws, 757 TATL operations now only require a few frames outside of the summer rush. Probably plenty of slack in the Fall schedule!

For what it's worth, the front cabin is being sold as United First. Business would indicate premium transcontinental service.

Will it be PS? Noticing a fare of $488 upfront one way.

Will United announce it soon? I will be surprised if they do not.
This is a huge change for LAX-BOS pax.
Cheers.

They loaded 'p.s.' into the system for BOS-SFO at least a month prior to announcing it. There was also a short period of time where it was still CPU eligible before they moved it to RPU-only. Given that all flights have been moved to 752s w/ lie-flat, I am sure there will be an annoucement in the coming weeks.
Looks like BOS is being upgraded to a mini-hub ... could be worse.
