Buried in today's Premium Plus press release is an indication that EWR-HKG will move to 777-300ER effective on or about March 30, with 'real' Polaris and Premium Plus service. This will likely be reflected in United's customary weekend schedule update.
This brings EWR to four (4) longhaul 77W flights; TLV, NRT, BOM, HKG. It is also the longest flight with the new Polaris seats. A downgrade for Y passengers, unfortunately, with the 3-4-3 configuration versus 3-3-3 of the current sCO 772.
Edit to add that it looks like this rotation comes at the expense of SFO-PEK on the 77W, which switches to a Polaris/PP 772 on March 30.

Not sure, but possible, even though the 77Q is the priority and those mods will be underway for at least another year or so. The 787-10 deliveries and EWR-HKG swap will free up a number of 77Y from existing flights (EWR-HKG/BRU/FRA/TLV 84/85).

Im a bit bummed that they're taking the SFO-PEK flight. We just booked a vacation next summer for the 4 of us, and I was looking forward to flying a newer plane with the true polaris seats. Fingers crossed that they'll replace it with a retrofit 777 with the new seats.
