Partner P fare earning after 1 Jan 2019

Currently you get 200% PQM on MileagePlus when travelling on LH P–Class.
For next year the UA accruals when travelling on UA in P–Class change.
Does anyone know if there will also be changes to the MileagePlus accruals on LH P–class?

well, no body knows or sure. Chances are near 100% that P-class on JV partners will also change to 150%. Such changes have historically always occurred later since coordination with the partner airline is required.

Thanks, that’s good information.

I just hope this coordination takes a few months. I have a trip to south america coming up in LH P

I'd expect early January ... we'll see. Of course whether we can still get 200% PQM on already purchased tickets has only been confirmed for UA. Since partner airlines don't pay for PQMs there could be a chance that UA will allow credit at the old rates as well ... lets see.

I just booked a ticket with LH P return next year and it shows 150% PQM on the mileage accruals section of the ticket receipt

The LH earnings page now lists P fares as 150% PQM effective January 1. So do AC, NH, OS, SN, and LX. NZ lists the lowest two business classes, J and Z, as 150%.

crap, it is updated now. We'll see if they honor the 200% on already purchased tickets.

They never have in the past, but you never know...

The accruals just went down for my NH P fare for a flight Jan. 2. That was fast.

Are you going to appeal to United's tender mercy? If you do and succeed, please share with the rest of us. I have a NH P fare in March, that was booked under the ancien regime.

I red on UA that only tickets purchased before a certain date will received 200%. I don't remember the date but I think it was Sept 28 as I purchased a ticket Oct 4 and it shows 150%.

They specifically agreed to grandfather in flights on United metal. It's not clear whether or not they'll do the same for flights on other airlines.

Probably not. I purchased after the UA P fare reduction was announced. And didn't really buy it for the PQM - mostly care about the seat ;)

The seat and the sake are indeed major motivations to fly NH. But with a lot of PQM at stake, I might try appealing in the new year, especially if I read of any successful outcomes from others on FT.

The UA Insider note really didn’t distinguish metal. It just said P fares will be 150%. A “P” fare purchased from United for an ANA or Air Japan plane with a UA codeshare number is a United P fare, isn’t it? Ie, not necessarily a ANA “P” fare. Airline fare classes don’t necessarily map one to one, do they?

I guess my my point is - it look it was a blanket P=150%, unless they specified “on United flights” in another communication.
