LA Wildfires From LAX
UC agents saying that there is no impact to operations as far as they know but certainly the view is causing a buzz at the LAX UC this morning.

Not to play one-up on these terrible situations, but the smoke impact from Butte fires on SFO are substantially worse..
I'm over 100 miles from the Butte fire and ground visible is about 1 mile. Very distributing to many remember 13 months ago.

I'm over 100 miles from the Butte fire and ground visible is about 1 mile. Very distributing to many remember 13 months ago.

Really bad for almost 24 hrs now, just tragic all around. Having lost my home last year I just get sick seeing these images. But to keep things on topic no delays/cancellations out of SFO. Is STS still functioning normally?

STS is still operating mostly normally. They've had low visibility, but well within minimums.
