To find your PQDs if >than $12K
Go to
MileagePlus activity since my last statement and it is in the "Account summary" table at the top of the page.

Note this is not just the UA operated PQDs (which is commonly believed to be what matters for GS) but rather your total PQDs.

Definitions

BIS is actual scheduled flight distance (Great Circle Mileage Distance -- GCM) between airports with 500 mile minimum for elites. This is the standard used for Lifetime miles also. Those flying mostly sub-500 segments sometimes prefer to not use the minimum rule.

The definition for CPM is a bit vaguer, especially since CPM is used in multiple different situations.

Believe for the purpose of this thread, GS qualification, folks are using

PQD CPM = UA PQDs / UA BIS

Note there is no direct evidence UA uses this CPM number for GS Qualification but it is a number FTers like to use.

As for BIS, UA does not report this number your account and it needs to be manually tracked.

One way is to make use that PQMs are based on BIS but there may be a multiplier / bonus for high end fares. If always in 2x PQMs, you could divide by 2 to get BIS.

rwsteelers had a good method for determining UA BIS -- the change in Lifetime Miles from the first of the year.

Similar spreadsheets were created in years past, so I'm hoping to continue this tradition. Please take the time to enter your stats into the spreadsheet. Many thanks

@jjmoore has it right. The last column represents the status i obtained from the prior year travel.

I suppose I'm on the bubble, but as a business owner, I do influence a lot of travel choices.

How do you make clear in your profile that you are a business owner?

What did you have the year before? I’m SFO based and had 55k PQD in 2018 and was confirmed last week. Previously it was 70k PQD in 2017 and 60k PQD in 2016.

Hmmm I know this can be tough to carve out but what is the total $ amount on UA metal, if it isn't much over $42K I wouldn't get your hopes up. I got turned down at $43K all UA metal out of SFO two years ago with spending up trending. But anything can happen.

Every year I wait patiently. Some years I have been in the first wave, others I have been in the last wave, but I have been GS for the last 13 years. I don't stress out and I don't try to figure out any system/algorithm/process. I just fly when and where I have to, and let things happen. Kinda zen-like.

While I know of no stats specifically from JAX but at $53K even out of high GS hubs such as LAX /SFO you look good. In general anything north of $50K is USUALLY good.

What are my GS chances?

About to book an April long-haul vacation, and trying to decide if I should wait to see if I get GS to be able to upgrade award tickets, etc.

My 2018 has been 103,458 PQM, 23 PQS, and $42,742. Not entirely sure for BIS, but most of my flights have been in business class, so probably around 60,000 BIS. 2017 I was only Gold status with maybe $17k PQD. What are my chances of getting Global Services this year?

Assuming the April trip isn't during some vacation peak period, I'd hold off on buying revenue tickets until Jan. If you're booking award flights, I'd book them now as a 1K.

Booking vacations as GS totally rocks. As my wife put it "I'm glad you're GS, because the benefits are really for me".

Where is your home airport? $42k would likely be on the low end in non-hub cities for a first time qualification especially with $17k the previous year.

If you are in a hub airport it would be a slim chance. Just look at AugustusM (OP) from last year out of EWR with >50k

I'll have right around 55K PQM but $5,400 or so was on LH... Will be a tight one... Base was ORD but moved recently to CHS so we'll see! Have been 1K for the past 3 years with around 30K spend each.

My Q4 was all domestic travel adding nearly nothing to my PQD.

My numbers to end the year:

PQM: 144,055
PQS: 44
PQD: $39,889

I had similar numbers last year and did not re-qualify, based out of EWR.

I would guess poor, with the low trailing year spend.
