Complaints about pop-up lounges vs. a proper UC aren't flowing in at the previous rate, I reckon.
It's good to see that United is progressing with construction, so that maybe a brand spanking new UC opening can coincide with flight-volume picking up again. Hopefully.
Kudos to United on this one!

EWR construction?
Thinking ahead to when we are back to normal, has anyone noticed if the T3 construction at EWR for the new second floor UC has resumed or is it still silent?

I was just wondering this myself. Hoping they are continuing to invest in the club experience for when things start to come back

I was through there last week. There was no sign of anything happening - but it is all behind a very tall wall / barrier that goes to the ceiling. So work could be happening without
ur knowing. I guess I'm hopeful. But clearly UA still has a lot of clubs closed so I can't imagine this project is much of an immediate priority.

I've been past the abandoned site every week or two and haven't observed any changes in months. I'm sure that plenty is happening out of site (snark) and one day they will with great fan fare rip down the construction fences and open a brand new state of the art UC.

Have mentioned this before, but DL by contrast has moved ahead with new lounges despite the pandemic, including opening what may be the best non-premium lounge in the country at SLC. Whereas UA has frozen everything (and kept lounges closed at outstations).

Given what UA's done elsewhere (e.g., construction frozen at PHX), I do suspect this was a UA call.

If the new club at LGA is the indicator of things to come, I'm hopeful about the new lounge at EWR.
