"Still Awaiting Payment" ? - Turkish Codeshare Question
Tried to use my Turkish PNR to select/reserve a seat on a flight out of Istanbul, purchased on an United itinerary (united.com) several weeks ago.
I get this message when I try to "manage my booking:" Because your reservation which is still awaiting payment was not created through our online services, you cannot sign in using a reservation code (PNR). Please contact one of our sales offices or call center. (Why is it that United has so many technical issues with their codeshare partners?! Don't encounter this with codeshares for other carriers!) |
i had no issues selecting seats and meals on the TK website for TK flights in an award reservation i made on .bomb a few weeks ago. i did need to contact UA via twitter for the TK PNR so that i could manage the reservation on the turkish website. for whatever reason, UA.com doesn't show TK PNRs - others on FT have reported this as well. double check that you indeed have the TK PNR, and not the UA PNR (you probably have the correct one since you got the 'awaiting payment' error from TK).
i'm not sure how active TK is on twitter, but perhaps that's a way to get in touch without a long telephone hold. good luck! |
