Perhaps some of these 737 Max 10s will make their way into the Hawaii markets, too?

Thanks Scott Kirby, thanks for thinking so much of your once loyal customers.
if you want my opinion, I’d move to LAS First. With all the money you’ll save on taxes, you can pay for F wherever you fly and hit 1MM faster!

UA has a history of (successfully) pushing the envelope on range, LAX-SIN being the most recent example, EWR-HKG on the 777-200ER being another.
i thnk you e nailed it. The 737-10 is the 757 replacement and adding lie flats will provide TPAC AND TCON coverage.

There are no bonus miles for lifetime count. Coach, first, business would earn the same there.

I don’t think anyone is doing TPAC on a 737 (MAX or not) unless you count the Island Hopper.

With 600 miles less range than the 752, don't expect the MAX10 on TATL routes. UA has had issues TATL with the 752 in winter with winds. EWR-TXL at 450NM shorter than the 752 range, means the MAX10 would have the same issues on EWR-DUB, which is 526 miles shorter than the MAX10 range. Fuel stops from DUB-EWR makes this aircraft not workable on any TATL routes.

Lie flats would be to provide Transcon services, first to replace the 15 sUA 752s in premium configuration. More could/would replace some of the 41 sCO 752 aircraft. When retired, the sCO 752 TATL routes would be covered by 763s, 788s or a MOM aircraft, so all 56 752s would not need lie flats to cover Transcon service. The MAX10 will also serve Hawaii just fine from the West Coast and could fly with standard F or lie flats.

Here's the seat map FlyDubai uses on its smaller 737 Max 8s - like the Mint layout with the Thomson Vantage seats

https://www.seatmaestro.com/airplane...737-800-max-8/

10 seats in that case vs the 16 in a standard 738 - then more if they make CASM tradeoffs - hard to say if the goal is to build the more thin transcon routes. I hope they go big on premium seat counts but not holding my breath.

The MAX 8 and MAX 9 have the longer range. The MAX 10 will be larger but won't be able to go as far.

Then there's the MAX 200, which I had not heard of before. It's a MAX 8 reconfigured to hold 200 passengers, which requires an additional exit, and will be entering service with Ryanair next year. That should be fun.

Mat least according to Wikipedia, the MAX 7 has the longest range - about 300nm longer than the MAX 8/9. Is the plane too small to fit enough people on it for TATL routes perhaps?

So the 200 will for all intents and purposes mimic the -900 / -900ER / 9. Those have a fake exit doors in the back that would be a real exit door in an all coach variety. Or maybe it's just 900ER / 9 ....

Boy when I first saw that door at IAH hanger at the pmCO DO I got all excited about an extra set of exit row seats like on 753, only to be very disappointed that "doors" don't open and it's just regular seat

I cant see anything close to "polaris" installed on the 737-10. Probably going to be a similar 2-2 biz as installed on the 757. Just cant see UA going 1-1 anytime soon.

I thought those were called Hawaii flights @:-)

Many, if not majority are on 737 / 757 from LAX / SFO.

I think that SWA is the only US airline to order the MAX 7.
