This seatmap is being used for all flights will an sUA 777-200ER scheduled. It is being used to guard against equipment swaps into one of the three possible seating configurations: legacy sUA 3-class (8F/40J and 3-3-3 in Y), 2-class Polaris (50J and 3-4-3Y), and 3-class Polaris/PE (50J/24W and 3-4-3 Y). The actual seatmap for the aircraft assigned to your flight will become available when the flight is added to the normal Flight Status display, approximately 60 hours before departure (usually overnight).
Blocks in Economy are at all 'F' seats, plus 20CH, 21BJ, 22BJ, and 35ABCDE (the last for accommodation). The blocks are designed so that, regardless of which equipment flies, no one will be moved or scrambled when the seatmap updates. Instead, some seats will unblock and some blocked seats may be deleted based on the real configuration, and then some rows may be added. This process is similar to that for the 757-300, 737-900, and other frames with uncertain configurations.
Some danger remains if there are more equipment swaps after the initial frame assignment, and the change from F/J to Polaris in the forward cabins is not a well-defined mapping.
Premium Economy, if on the plane used, would be Rows 20-22, Seats AB[ ]DEFG[ ]KL
773
Similarly, as Premium Plus is added to the existing Polaris 773s, Rows 19/20/21 seats B & K are not shown, to accommodate potential swaps between PP & non-PP equipped aircraft.
It is speculated that once PP is offered as a true separate cabin. UA will focus the PP equipped aircraft on a few selected routes to minimize the swap risk.
Interim 77x seatmaps with Polaris seats & potentially Premium Economy (2018-19))

I was on EWR-BOM on Friday and got assigned one without PE. I gave up E+ seat and moved myself to the back of the cabin with some empty seats next to me to make the flight bearable in Y.
I booked this ticket as a gamble on scoring a free PE seat. Let's see if the return next week gets it. After this, I will avoid the nonstop to India in Y.

observations from actual flight on UA49 non PE 777-300ER
Hi guys - Looking for suggestions on whether to book for 29 March or 30th March for a planned PP route (EWR-BOM on a 777-300ER).
The 29 March flight shows the interim seat map (hidden middle seats on both sides). I really want to sample this hard product and since I will only get PE as a UA Platinum, I can either book for the 30th and hope to get a cheap paid upgrade option (under $350 hopefully), or book for the 29th and select the PP seat and hope they have the aircrafts set up by then. Thoughts?

My advice is get certainty now and book an exit row seat in Row 39 only not Row 24. I confirmed Row 24 A and L seats are tighter than Row 39 A and L due to Row 24 being much closer to the exit door and having no window, so less shoulder room.
As far as seats, I was on the return flight BOM-EWR last Saturday and the flight was 99% full, and it had interim seatmap until T-2 when it switched to non-PE seat map. I had selected an aisle seat in Rows 19-20-21 (21G) figuring if it went to PE, I would have a good chance of getting a PE seat in the forward mini-cabin. When it went non-PE, I decided to switch to exit row 24 or 39, but then I realized that the way the plane is laid out, the lavs at Row 24 layout allow no crossover and people queue up there to stretch and wait for lavs. At Row 39 you can crossover to other side through galley and you can see the lavs at the back end of the plane so less chance, IMHO, of people waiting at Row 39. The 300ER PE/E+/E section is much longer than a 200ER and has 3 exit doors vs 2. However, the only exit row open was middle seat, but i took it anyway, (39B) as the footwells are misaligned at and I figured uncomfortable for 16 hour flight.

I have flight for sfo to tpe on 18th. Was in premium economy seat until today. Checked this morning, the plane changed to regular 777 without premium economy seat chart. Would they change again?

Changed to regular 777 two days before.
the other case last week. Changed to PE 777 three days before.
Since you are outbound from SFO, there is still chance even in the day before. But 2 days befote the departure, more likely you will end up with the currently changed aircraft.

This is a glitch on the website and app where the 77Ws with the Premium Plus seats are displayed as a 772. Aircraft #2139 is a 77W; if you want to confirm, check if the business cabin goes up to row 18 (77W) or row 15 (772).

Maybe it has been mentioned but it seems that the 77Ws that currently have rows 19-21 gets adjusted to rows 20-22 closer to departure. I was shifted earlier this week and had to reselect back into the Premium Plus section. Not sure if it’s the case for all but my March 77W flights all have rows 19-21.

Seat map changed two times in less than 24hr (I suspect Aircraft swap)
My original seat selection was 19L
It became 20B on PE setting
Now it became 24E (Bulkhead Middle!!) on Non PE 777-300ER setting.
