Urgent - Where'd My Heineken Go?!?!
As I'm sure many of you can relate, we put up with a lot of disappointment throughout the year flying on United - our carrier of choice.
After commuting to the airport, getting frisked as I go through security, and battling through the gate lice. one thing I always look forward to settling comfortably into my seat with a predeparture Heineken.
Until now! I was informed by the FA on my last flight that UA will no longer have Heineken as a option?! Something must be done!!
While expressing my concerns to 1k Voice, I also wrote about the decline I've seen in domestic first/business class meals over the last few months - both in terms of quality and the number of menu choices. Personally I'm OK with paying a few bucks more for my business class ticket and getting a good meal with decent options. Has anyone else noticed this?

United's Beer Selection is Really Bad
Fumje is alluding to the fact that Lagunitas is owned by Heineken. Some time ago, this Petaluma, CA-based micro brewery sold out. As near as I can tell, Heineken has not screwed up the Lagunitas brews. Of the choices on the United beer menu, Lagunitas is the only one I'd drink.
New Belgium, Miller, and Stella (aka "wife beater") are all fake beers, and I won't touch them. Not a fan of Heineken either, but at least they don't pretend to be something they are not.
United's beer selection sucks big time compared to Alaska Airlines, which serves Alaskan ales.

I traveled to Spain and Italy with my girlfriend earlier this year and on both trips, going to and coming form, the flight attendants announced that they offered craft beer. Yup, Shiner, Miller, and Heineken. Crafty as they come. So I guess those European flights are only getting Shiner Bock or Miller now?
This is a big reason I prefer the Board Room over the UC at LAX, it's a pitty they're leaving PP.
