But it can be a bit small to easily read.

David
I wonder if it's a difference in browsers, because it's not small at all on my screen. Personally, I'd rather have it readable than pretty.

The text in that post you quoted looks pretty small. However, UA's website rendering looks fine now. I imagine they've tweaked the size

Consolas’ zero is supposeto have had a slash (see below).
A zero with a slash would elevate the oh-zero problem somewhat.
With browsers and apps this can be a problem. (Fonts missing, default fonts without the slash)

I have three BPs from one trip with a zero in the PNR, all different fonts, one of which has the slash.

I also have BPs where there are slashes through the zeros in the flight time and gate, but not in the PNR zero.

And they think that their customers are stupid?

I’m just glad it now copies to the clipboard so you can paste.

Oh and that UA shows partner record locators by default (cough Delta make you sit on hold for 15 minutes to get it).

(possibly wrong thread)

Are numerals still being used in confirmation codes? After two I thought coincidence, but now I have made three reservations in the past two weeks, and none have any numbers (i.e. all letters). A reservation made in Sep has numbers.

Numbers are still being used.

Thanks; [edit] chance is actually just 14% if totally random (0.29% of it happening 3 times in a row), or 19% if first character must be a letter. Over the past year 25% of my confirmations have no number. Odd coincidence now.

There may be other restrictions other than "first character must be a letter".

I believe confirmation numbers are randomly generated.

They are generated in alphanumeric order.
