The new SFO<> SIN has the timing others have wanted, but deletion of LAX kind of makes it clear, UA (and appears its customers) is focusing on SFO as the Pacific gateway.

Makes good sense. And now that there is a Polaris lounge at SFO, who could complain?

You could knock me over with a feather

Guess I looked at Airline Route a little too early, haven't seen that posted yet.

But with Op Ups for employees both to and from SIN, regularly seeing open R, no surprise.

I would see a full J cabin from SFO, R space from LAX, maybe it will become possible to find an u/g ex after the switch to SFO

3 non stops from SFO-SIN now. I wonder what will happen to UAs feed into SFO once SQ starts EWR-SIN.

As I understand it, that is an all Biz and PE plane FWIW.

Guess Im glad I flew it while it existed? Have to imagine this is a result of UA being ever weaker out of LAX, unfortunately. Second iteration of UA37 I have flown that will cease to exist (EWR-OSL being the other).

If you have a booked flight with confirmed upgrade post the cessation of the LAX flight, should be no problem to switch to the SFO flight keeping your confirmed upgrade.

And if you haven't, this weekend might be a great time to look for some upgrade space.

I did have confirmed upgrades. But now 37 & 38 fell off entirely. I think I shall wait until the system settles before calling. Fortunately in a fit of paranoia—or prescience—I have a copy of the reservation showing confirmed on both.

Perhaps I will also wait to see the new schedule before making any requests. Will be curious to see if they load with open R as per usual.

Isn't SQ starting non stop LAX-SIN flights? SQ statement : "We think LA is a good market and our customer continue to tell us that they would like us to have direct flight to Los Angeles, just like they have been telling us they would love to have New York direct as well, so we will continue to do that."
