Since it appears no change as occurred yet on UA matched Marriott status, there is not much value added with more "no changes yet" (at least for 13 Feb)

I am UA Million Miler lifetime gold. This morning I updated the Marriott app to Bonvoy, and the app shows that I am Platinum Elite!

I am delighted.

Stayed 82 nights last night and logged in as "Titanium Elite" I guess having two tiers with the same name was confusing. To be honest, PE is enough for me as all I wanted was the lounge access.

Very pleasantly surprised at The Westin Excelsior in Rome this morning when the front desk said breakfast was complimentary AND upgraded me to a suite because of my Platinum status

I'm keeping an eye on the Marriott forum in FT, and hoping for grumbling from people being downgraded there, with my Plat status remaining in place. Only when I see that will I feel confident that some backroom deal was reached to maintain Plat status for 1Ks like me.

A far more likely explanation would be a Marriott IT fail. The system is seriously dysfunctional.

I agree the odds are IT snafus are just delaying implementation. It's always nice when a glitch works in the customer's favor though. I sipped a cherry old-fashioned at a Courtyard last week, either thanks to this glitch or an unannounced reprieve for 1K status downgrades. Time will tell.

An Elite Services Supervisor just told me this: "I don't know if it's a glitch or not, but everyone who was supposed to be downgraded got downgraded on February 4th. I show you having Platinum Status throughout 2019. I can't promise anything, but I don't see that changing

As long as the Marriott IT fail is 2 weeks long I will feel that it compensates me for the IT fail when SPG was gobbled up by Marriott.

Breakfast would be huge for some upcoming award stays on family trips this summer. And will return the favor with some upcoming business this spring. Thank you Marriott!!! (hopefully won't have to retract that).

I just got an email from IHG congratulating me on hitting gold. I am a 1k and was a platinum at the Marriott in Bangkok last week.

Is this evidence of my being downgraded???
