The issue is likely not so much that they are using jargon, but that they have hit a situations that the system isn't specifically able to handle, so it's just displaying the error message returned by the backend.
The backend system is returning a status/error that is intended to be interpreted by someone that understands the system, such as a travel agent, who would know what this term means. In this case the "travel agent" is a website that isn't correctly interpreting the response, so the end user is seeing the "jargon".
