Back at the ORD lounge it can be difficult to find a spot in the dining area during peak hours.
Wondering, how many out of the 440 seats are at sit down dining in SFO ?

Yes, this is the one place where the operation is clearly undersized, in clear contrast to the rest of lounge which, as many have noted, is huge. The temptation for an entirely free meal at sit-down full service restaurant that appears reasonably elegant will be very large, and I think the restaurant will be overwhelmed -- and unusable for most pax -- from day one onwards.

Arrivals Lounge stays - no changes planned was the official answer.
Will they renovate the arrivals lounge to match the new Polaris aesthetic?

Looking forward to using it 5/7 on my SFO-MUC run! Since the construction started I have been arriving just in time to depart but for this trip I will head out to SFO a bit early to check it out for sure. Any official stats available on the new club, size, seating, amenities, etc...?

I believe I saw it reported elsewhere as well, and that UA would offer some sort of gate pass for arriving pax so they could use Polaris even if SFO was their final destination.

Likely no, North American flights don't qualify for Polaris Lounge The transborder flights on AC have been a bit of a hot issue at SFO, but seems the plan is a no.

Note for *A flights, it depends on the departure flight from that airport. For UA Polaris itineraries, connecting airports qualify.

That would blow.

There are often J Saver awards which route through AC for TATL or TPAC. Those awards cost just as much as flights which don't route through AC.

I just walked by 30 minutes ago on my way to the old GFL, hoping that it would be open a day early - spoiler, it wasn't.

They had some ladders set up inside and were working on something.

I will be disappointed if they close the arrival lounge but if so, I hope they will transfer the personnel to the Polaris lounge as I have always found them to be very helpful and accommodating.

And pray that IFL personnel don't come close to the Polaris Lounge.
