lol thanks

I can get the cream cheese with bits if salmon rather than lox. I'm excited about this trip and want to maximize my enjoyment of it. The last time I was in economy on united from China to Chicago the food was not that appetizing to me.

I don’t have any problem with my seat mates eating lox cream cheese bagels. I will probably looking at it in jealousy.

However, I do know some people develops negative reaction with the slightest smell of fish. A colleague of mine threw up on the plane because I ordered the Japanese meal option that had seafood and fish sauce.

Perhaps check with your seat mates first before start eating just to be safe.

I would seriously object since I think Einstein bagels are steamed, not boiled, and hence that isn't a real bagels and lox!

I brought leftovers on a plane recently and unthinkingly opened them to eat about halfway through the flight...the smell of kimchi was quite strong. My SO and I looked at each other and were like "oh crap, we're those jerks!". The smell had blended in at the Korean restaurant where we had eaten earlier, but not so much on the plane. We ate up as quickly as possible and tied the trash in a plastic bag.

Sorry, people near us on that flight! Will think it through better next time.

Several years ago, I was the guy who carried an In-n-Out cheeseburger (animal style, obvs.) and fries on my flight home from LAX. I am sure the bad karma I earned from making the other pax hungry explains at least one of the times since that I've had a can't-miss upgrade mysteriously fail to clear.

Make sure to bring bagels for your seatmates.

My favorite plane food smells are at AUS -- that Salt Lick brisket

I don't even call them bagels. They're just round bread.

Where did you see Einstein Bros. in IAD? It's certainly not in the C/D concourse that UA flies out of. It's been some time since I've taken a trip through the other concourses, but I don't think I've ever seen one there, either.

In any case, I agree with the other posters. I don't see an issue with it. Durian, on the other hand...
