Hidden Bonus
 

Platinum from 2017, MPE card holder. Just got my completed offer posted. Didn't know about this hidden $175 in travel bank.

The offer was like spend $300 for 7500 and $750 for 19,300. Pretty easy considering I travel for work overseas every so often.

I apparently got this offer and signed up for it, but don't remember.

Spend $500 get 12,100 miles
Spend $1,430 get 39,200 miles

I got targeted on this, and I haven't flown UA much. I got comp'd UA Silver with my Marriott status. My offer is

$200 - 4,900 bonus miles

$700 - 19,500 bonus miles

So I signed up and just booked a trip for next week that will put me over the $700 mark. How long does it take for the 19,500 bonus miles to post in a situation like this?

Question: Do I have to buy tickets through United directly? Can you book the travel through AMEX platinum travel to double dip on points with this offer?

I was selected for this promo ($150 for 2900, $650 for 15000), and with travel I already intended to take, I'm very close to the second milestone. Now I'm trying to figure out what counts.
I farelocked a flight on May 25th which shows Airfare: 436.28USD. On May 29th, I registered for the promotion. On June 1, I purchased the farelocked ticket. Is this eligible?

On June 1, I made another reservation whose airfare is $188.87. If the above ticket counts, I'm now at $625 spend. (And if XF counts, I'm even closer.)

The T&C are vague on whether an E+ upgrade made now would count towards the promo. If I can spend ~$50 on the second flight above to earn 12100 miles, that seems worth it, but only if that and the farelocked ticket qualify.

I called MP, but they were unable to tell me anything useful. What does the collected wisdom here think?

My original offer was $2,260 for 4,900 RDM and $2,860 for 14,600 more. I "unlocked" my third tier of $3,560 for $180 in TravelBank credit. Can you even use that while it's down?

Regardless, I should hit it, but it's just been luck that my flying has picked up this quarter.

I don't have any inside information, but everything so far has indicated the promo is tracking PQD. Since E+ upgrades also count toward PQD, I'd suspect the $50 would.

There is no problem using Travel Bank credits (such $5.booking credit or credits from TravelBank card -- the problem is external funding a TravelBank account as a gift registry)

This promo has worked out nicely form me. Just crossed my second goal, $700 for 19,600 RDMs. Have unlocked the third goal, and at $1,250 I'm apparently going to get another 19,200. I'm going to hit that next week.

A pretty lucrative time for my work travel to pick up and make these goals very attainable (earned no status last year, now Silver and probably on track for Gold this year)
