It seems more and more like the Gang that couldn’t shoot straight. They need to immediately suspend their pet service until they figure this out.

These incidents really are dogging united this week.

On a side note for the ops-interested folks on these boards: why divert to CAK instead of returning the dog to EWR? I mean, apparently the PR was important enough to call for divert in the first place what's the harm a little more inconvenience to the pax...

It was supposed to be on UA4091 from EWR-CAK yesterday. Both flights left from A27.

I'd assume that such a diversion would have to have been approved from someone in Willis.

Ahhh thanks @ctownflyer I now think I see what happened here. The article did not make clear that the dog's final destination was CAK. Hopefully MP won't get word of the offloading and the pup will get PQM for the full trip to STL.
