CRJ-200 in a windstorm

The next time they want to get from Charlottesville to IAD I think they're going to drive:

I can understand how that goes. I've got a strong stomach for things like that but I know from experience with some very rough boat rides that when a large number of other folks around you are throwing up, it's hard to stay strong with the smell and the sounds that you're exposed to. Glad I wasn't on that flight.

I understand too. As soon as someone nearby gets sick, my wife grabs the little bag and gets ready for disaster.

My fiance (former CRJ 200 FO) for AWAC mentioned it was Sky West.

Let me tell you, those CRJ's can get into airports when the WX is like that. when my fancy 757/767 can't!

And yet, at SFO other planes arrive and depart while the SFO-YYJ bound CRJ (as well as other CRJs) is delayed both inbound and outbound "due to ATC"

Are you crazy? I have been too many times on those little planes where we are shaken like in a drying tumbler and passengers scream every time the plane dives. And then the throwing up starts.....

Go to an amusement park and take a roller coaster ride......

As we were on approach into PHL, I was thinking “is this it?” because it wasn’t that bad. Then again, I am a roller coaster junkie so I’m probably in the strange side.

That's UA preferring to delay the fewest number of passengers when the airport is operating at capacity under the norm. Not necessarily anything to do with the capability of the airplane.

All too aware As the saying goes, not my first rodeo (via SFO). Edit to add: Hey, that rhymes

Guess in a way should be thankful, got a reprieve a couple of times from the Devil's Chariot.

Both times via YVR, once on AC nonstop to my final destination and another with upgraded YVR-SFO on UA. Sadly, the nonstop is usually the cheapest option.

And sad to report, that once DL started to fly three daily CR7s from SEA, UA retreated from SFO flights to ONE CRJ daily
