Economy Plus dimensions from EWR to ShangHai
Are the EconomyPlus seats larger on United flights from Newark to Shang Hai?
Do they recline further back than regular coach?
Or are they just spaced better so you get more leg room?
It's hard to figure out these answers on the United website

what he said...
just wanted to add that you don't necessarily get more legroom if you pick Economy Plus seats that are exit aisle window.... depending on the aircraft, some of them actually have less legroom due to the protruding exit slide in front of your right foot.

EconomyPlus is more legroom. You won't get anything more on the width.
Right now, your plane should be a CO 772, 3-3-3. In the future, the width will probably go tighter when they install Polaris up front, at least that is my understanding. So, in Y, pray that your old bird is not swapped for a 773.

In many cases but not all
The information you are seeking for each aircraft is posted on united.com
In particular for the 772 used for EWR-PVG, see this link

it's been how many years since CO and UA have supposedly been integrated? A week before Christmas, I was on a former CO ship and the captain said "thanks for flying with us...(blah, blah, blah) I hope you have a great flight, we have an all-Continental crew today, that's all pilots and flight attendants..." I was like, ...? Isn't that against some kind of company policy now to say something like that?
